Doğa Çetin

Doğa Çetin is a Turkish conductor currently studying at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg with Professor Ulrich Windfuhr, after completing her violin studies with Professor Tanja Becker-Bender. She has already collaborated with major ensembles such as the Hamburger Symphoniker, the Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Hamburg, and the Lüneburger Symphoniker, and has appeared on prominent stages including Hamburg’s Laeiszhalle. In the 2023-2024 season, she served as Assistant Conductor for HfMT’s production of Eugene Onegin, where she also took on the musical direction of several performances.

She gained further recognition in the Hamburg State Opera’s innovative ZeitSpiel series under Omer Meir Wellber, conducting the Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Hamburg and recording selected works. Her work as a rising conductor has been featured in video portraits by Arte and NDR.

Internationally, Çetin had the opportunity to work with Marin Alsop at the Peabody Institute, where she also conducted the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington, D.C.
 

She made her debut at the Elbphilharmonie with the Camerata Hamburg in 2026, short before she was selected as a semifinalist in the international conducting competition La Maestra.
